It's been a busy week in Edgeley, North Dakota. Family visits. Recuperating from our show in Pekin. Preparing for shows later this summer. Planning a visit to Portland, OR. The list goes on and on.
I was surprised last night, when Don announced that we were heading to Wilson Dam after dinner. I wanted to object -- but instead, I conceeded. And, much to my surprise, I'm glad I did.

We drove the Prairie road south out of Edgeley around 7 pm, trunk loaded with fishing tackle and homemade white wine. As we passed our first wheat field through Merricourt, my shoulders fell from my ears and I started to relax. I thought to myself: life is busy.
The truth is, however, I can hardly remember a time when life wasn't busy. It's always busy! And, the older I get the more I realize this: It's not about having the time to do the things we want to do in life. It's about making it.
I'm glad Don made time for Wilson Dam this week. I'm glad I made time to join him.
